“I have bought several items from American Tall and am always thrilled with how well everything fits my 6’0 athletic frame. These leggings are no exception - they fit exactly as I hoped. However, the quality is lacking big time. The material is noticeably thin - I can see my skin through the material. And after only 3 wears, there is already a small hole forming on the inner thigh. Super disappointing because I practically live in black leggings, so need to find myself some that fit AND are of lasting quality.”

However, I bought 2 pair of these leggings and as soon as I put them on, I noticed the material is much much thinner than I had expected. I could see my skin through, but since they fit really (long & large enough), it wasn’t super noticeable because the material wasn’t overly stretched. However, I just put them on for the 3rd time ever and there is already a small hole forming on the inner thigh. Super disappointed because the length and overall fit are perfect - but definitely not worth buying if they wear out this quickly.”
“I purchased a pair of these earlier this year and loved them. I re-purchased for Black Friday and was heartbroken to find that 1) the inseam has been shortened by 5 inches (insane) and 2) the material has changed to something that is clearly not cotton. It almost seems like I was sent the wrong item, but the name of the item, size, length, etc. is all the same. And no, I did not previously order an extra tall, just tall. I reached out to customer service and never heard back. I won't be purchasing anything else from American Tall due to a lack of response combined with no quality control. I'm very disappointed. Spent $30 to get these and will only get 1/3 of that back even though I wasn't sent what I purchased.”

“COMPLETELY SEE THROUGH.. very cheap t-shirt type material. Instantly see through when you bend over and they will stretch out completely after the first few wears making them look baggy and loose with no smooth waistband and saggy diaper butt.. but at least they're the right length, the only redeeming quality. They need to source higher quality materials.”

“So disappointed - the material is so thin and not much give, waist is way too big while legs are tight. These are not warm enough for even a northern California winter. Why can't someone make a decent tall cotton spandex legging with a bit of heft for the non summer months? The only good thing is that these are very high waisted, which I prefer, but overall, these are worse than OldN-vy brand, which have also gone to using thinner material. Plus I had to pay 9.00 to return. Well, I gave American Tall a try, and now I know! Never again and will keep looking. : (”

“I’m not crazy about these leggings. The material is just too thin and stretches out. I wish that at least the top band would be a little thicker to provide more shape and hold me in. The butt also seems to be a little shapeless; the back seam doesn’t come in at all and ends up giving a “unibutt” look.”

“If honesty counts... REAL honesty... it begins with assessing not necessarily the very BEST part I loved about the workout pant first, but begin with the MOST necessary needs of any pant, and what began very noticeable & embarrassing aspect for me, that might and could be an issue for EVERY woman who goes to the gym, runs in the park, of simply wears these as a comfort piece. I had to make sure I wore a long shirt to cover my bumm.
These are SEE-THRU when you bend. They aren't see- thru if you stand straight. The minute you sit down, it's obvious the cotton construction weave is not comparable to other brands like Nike. I'm sorry to point this out, but it must since the main reason for these type of pants is the purpose of stretching, bending over, having legs distanced apart in exercise, and we want to maintain a decent amount of coverage for areas like our behind or crotch area, and don't want our underwear to be peering through, or the color of our flesh to be seen, especially if we are considered to have any type of decency. I'm sure this can't possibly lost on the quality team at AT, but I hope you will consider this a design recommendation to provide proper coverage for the indecent and modest parts of our bodies while in public. Many of your clientele are high profile women purchasers in public facing situations.
But I'm not at all out-of-love with AF's clothing! This could just be improved.
The thing I LOVED about this pant was the comfort, and the length. They do not grab and grip. I would purchase these again, but with the idea that I would have to wear a long tee when I exercise or plan to do any bending over movements.
If AT could go back to the manufacturer for more thread count construction THAT would be a GAME CHANGER! Even if it increases the price by a few dollars, it would be worth it!
I'm not sending mine back because I do love these. They are uber-comfortable. More comfortable than Nike. The comfort hits it out of the ballpark for me!

We're sorry that the fabric isn't what you were expecting. These were designed with the purpose of being an everyday versatile legging. If you're looking for something to wear to the gym we recommend trying something such as our Balance or Active leggings.
