“The features that I like about Multicharts is the ability to undock charts and windows to drag out of the main interface to a different monitor. It would be nice to have a toolbar that could go with the detached window, but it is not a big deal.
I like the customizable drawing tools and the fact they stay put and do not wander when scaling the chart.
The trade from chart interface works great and helps with my style of trading, I can modifiy stop loss and profit targets quickly if needed and view my positions clearly.”
“Overall good trading experience with amp free multi charts.
What I like the most is the possibility to drag and drop the orders. It saves me critical seconds during trading.
What I don't like is that there is no risk/reward tool which is, as I see in other trading platforms, very useful”
“Very easy transition from TradeStation (starting with TradeStation back in 1993).
In fact, it looks like the installation directory \TS Support\ was a reference to solving TS' many problems. That is very slick and I fully understand it and appreciate it.
I prefer MC to TS in every respect.
C# works fine for indicators. I just use a C# programmer instead of an Easy Language programmer.
On-chart and side-panel trading work great.
I wish there was an email address or web page to make suggestions for minor stuff for MultiCharts .NET free edition.
AMP MultiCharts .NET Free Edition's basics are nicely supported by AMP but on one occasion I had a scaling problem on a stock indicator and two different AMP tech support couldn't fix it. I figured it out on my own.
This isn't a jab at MC, but Mark Jurik's indicators only work on the the non-free version of MC. And Mark is retired, so he won't be adding any platforms in the future.”
