There are many tools that are lacking when compared to many other proprietary trading software. Unfortunately I know some former employees of CQG that could not get changes approved. CQG needs to bring back the chart trading where a user can slide the open orders up and down the chart without having to use the DOM. Volume price profile should be overlayed on the chart not just with a volume histogram on the chart. Also need performance tracking for trades to include expectancy.

Good: the things I have complained about, by golly, they fixed! For example, they needed a very visible "go flat all" button that was easy to find and execute. They used to have this button but it was cumbersome to find it. Not any more. They listened to the customer. (I bet someone complained besides myself). They have a display in the top right corner that has kept me out of trouble that is easy to see but not in the way. It reminds the customer of the # of short positions, # of long positions, and # of open orders. This is critical if you need to take a bathroom break or run an errand. I have left the desk before and been screwed because I thought I was flat and was not. A "never leave the desk" without glancing at that part of the screen has saved my "absent minded butt" quite a bit.
