“MT5 has always been my favorite platform for programming. The language, mql5, is easy to learn and there is plenty of versatility to create trading tools and other EAs. AMP Futures is the only one to offer MT5 for Futures trading and I hope they always do.”
“Fast and reliable platform. However, it lacks essential features compared to more modern platforms when it comes to futures day trading and scalping. One major drawback is that the Take Profit is not a Limit order but a Stop Market order. MT5 does not have sub-minute charts, volume charts, or ticks charts. Because of those reasons I recently switched to Quantower.”
“Would like better layout options on desktop.
Need to show dom bid ask which disappeared last year.
Need for multiple stops and or targets
Not just one stop and target.
Thanks”
“Works flawless under Linux OS (Debian), I can use self-implemented Indicators (MQL5), it shows a lot of charts concurrently (no restriction), it works on desktops and mobile phones at the same time, for my tax report I can easily export the years trading data, and I oftentime use automated trading with self-implemented experts, which can react much faster than I would manually.
Even the reported stop-buy/sell-bug was fixed in the meantime.
However, I can't trade options with it, the future timings (meaning the change e. g. from GCEV24 to GCEZ24) are not updated automatically and there are no VIX or VXX-futures shown (for reference). Sometimes the chart-display lacks actuality, while the market-depth-view and the terminal already are some ticks ahead.”
