“Platform is unable to instantly place a stop loss order upon entry. I had a 4 point stop order rejected and took a much larger loss because of it. Honestly I don't know if the problem is with the platform or AMP Futures servers, but I cannot recommend trusting the platform for these types of typical orders. AMP was no help, said there was nothing they could do about it.”
“One big drawback: It doesn't have a hotkey and quick buttons for "Breakeven +". Using the right click context menu is too slow and complicated. I need to monitor other parameters during trade.”
“The good: one of the best trading platforms with a lot of built in functionality, easy to use, easy to adapt, easy to extend (if needed) with own indicators and strategies.
The bad: graphical resolution is the worst and most ugly I actually see on the market.”
“It does almost everything from analytics to execution but performance is very poor. It's so poor that I can not recomnd it anyone. Using latest hardware only improves it to acceptable level. Compared to Jigsaw, which is also a .NET program, Quantower is incredibly slow.
I still use Quantower as it allows analytics to execution all in one platform customized to exactly how I want it without the complexity of Sierra Chart. Performance is tolerable but not good enough that I would recomend it.”
“It's nothing like Sierra Charts and no we're near advanced but it's still good. I'll never understand why you cannot set multiple limit orders for multiple orders rather they are bracket orders or simple orders but regardless, it's a great platform. It's amazing for new traders.”
