“Moved to AMP as a means to move back to futures trading with a better platform. A bit of a learning curve with the platform at first (mostly due to a forced move to Windows 11) but also due to an issue with GPU usage which seems too have been resolved after excellent assistance from the AMP developers and a subsequent version update; coming from a financial IT career I know how hard handling such problems can be. Getting to know what screen layout works for you can take time but is extremely flexible and time should be taken away from live trading to get a good feel for how it all fits together. I find the ability to lock trading and also the screen layout is essential as I often need to connect remotely by phone to my laptop which makes it too easy to inadvertently shut a screen down or worse swipe and place a trade...my problems I know, but it provides a safety net. Connection (CQG for me) is generally very stable but can show millisecond delay info if the markets go a bit wild over news. I do find a reboot at least once a week is a good idea to ensure everything stays 'fresh'. Coming from a developer back ground (C, C++, C# and others) I am currently investigating indicator and strategy development. Generally quite smooth and the pipeline from write/compile/implement on a chart is very smooth...just trying to match the indicator data access to the strategy data is a bit muddling. Over all in my view it is a solid trading and charting platform.”
“Quantower is one of the best trading platforms I've used. I wish it has a Mac version as I have to run it on Parallels on my Mac desktop for Windows 11. Aside from that, it's a great trading platform.”
“Positiv: Einfach in der Handhabung. Schnell hat man sein persönliches Workspace erstellt und läuft stabil. Viele Einstellmöglichkeiten. Negativ gibt es nicht wirklich. Wenn es irgendwann auch auf Linux läuft, dann perfekt. Ich benutze die Plattform sehr gerne.”
