“Sierra Chart is excellent for what I need. I trade price action on the 2000-tick chart, and there are not many platforms that provide this type of chart. I am very happy with the speed and the fills I get. It has many great features for advanced users, although my own trading is very basic, all I need is level I data, the tick chart and a 21-ema. I started out with CQG data, but later moved to Sierra Chart's own Teton routing and Denali data and it is absolutely excellent. I can go back YEARS and still get the tick-by-tick data for studying or backtesting. I find my trades get filled really fast and I rarely have slippage (something which happened a lot with CQG). Again, not many platforms out there offering this kind of data. I find Sierra Chart pricing very fair too. The only bad thing is that AMP does not provide the same day trading margings to Teton users as it does to CQG and Rhythmic. While CQG users enjoy very competitive day trading margins (eg: $40 on MES and $400 on ES) basically 23h/day (RTH and Globex/Overnight), only raised ahead of economic reports, I have to work with 25% of exchange the entire globex/overnight (around $600 for one MES), and only get the competitive day trading margins 15min before the RTH session starts. I have answered this same survey two times before, this being the 3rd time. When is AMP giving Sierra Chart/Teton users the same advantages CQG users have? This is literally the ONLY BAD thing about Sierra Chart and it's not even related to their software, it's entirely AMP's fault.”
