“SierraChart is perfect for me but I would really like If AMP would support the server side risk management with Teton (daily loss limit etc.). As far as I know it only works with Stage 5 Broker right now.”
“Good: it is endlessly adaptable, it offers a very wide range of studies, one can set up custom studies as well. Choose from a 100 or so alert sounds and almost as many alert conditions. Order from a trade window or directly from the chart. Great order handling, scale-in or -out are supported, as is every order type one could think of. The Denali data feed is superior to anything else I've come across. I have no experience with Sc Teton order routing system but people who use it are enthoused.
Not so good: it is very definitely NOT user friendly software. You'll need to engage to get the best of it. It took me some time to understand the engineers who design and maintain all this.
Good: the manual is vast and updated with every change they make. In size it fits the universe of possibilities in the system, meaning it's a heavy book.
Customer support is adequate, depending on the question or support that's asked of them. Frequent support seekers and dumb questions seem to attract less of their attention. If a support request is deemd ligit they are swift and accurate and will bother to check back with you and see if the problem 's been solved. I have both experiences with their desk :-)
Summarizing: an amazingly versatile system you can do (almost) anything with to customize. Smooth handling of orders and well-connected data-wise. Stuff this good is worth a price, but I have never considered the price too high for what they offer.”
“Sierra Chart ist a professional chart analysis tool for everyone in need of reliability and flexibility in any manner. The many possibility of configurations and settings is for beginners time intense, but it is definitely worth the effort.
Especially the softwares plug and play cabability provides a maximum of flexibility in application. You don't need to install Sierra Chart locally. Just put the relevant Sierra Chart file on a USB stick, stick this USB stick in a PC and it can be started from any windows systems.”
