“Sierra Chart user since May 2017. At first it may seem daunting but it grows on you with its power and truly simple process. Some of the recent updates with API integrations combined with simple spreadsheet type environment makes it hard to beat for all types of trading.
One big thing I would love to see is Sierra Chart App for Phone and/or tablet that has charting, positions and basic trade management. I fully understand that an app cannot harness the power of the program, but it would be nice to have a simple chart and trade management. The current web link that is available is not good for any trader. Something as simple as MT5 app, chart, few indicators with a way to fully use Teton and open and close a trade would be wonderful.”
“Sierra Charts is hands down the best trading platform out there. Chart replay is flawless. Trade copy to multiple accounts is flawless. The only wish would be if Sierra offered an oprion that is similar to Tradingview, where you can squeze the chart in and out and move it up/ down back/forth using your fingers like on Tradingview mobile app. It would also be cool if there was a similar buy/sell and size button on the chart, like Tradingview so we didn't hVe to have the trade window attached to chart. The only other wish would be a simple mobile app that had charting and trade execution from chart...like Tradingview. Tradingview's website and signup is in serious need of an upgrade to make it all easier...but it is more than worth going through the setup pain just to have this best trading platform.”
“If you want everything you can possibly do , all types of order flow data, and very custamiziable , then Sierra is way to go.. There payment , subsription area could be a little more intuitive. Love Sierra charts! and Denali and Teton.”
“Very powerful and robust platform. But, it has a steep learning curve. It's worth the trouble but be prepared to spend some time getting up to speed.”
“I've only been using Sierra Chart for a few months but I was almost forced into using it because I wanted to build an automatic position sizing tool and it was the only platform I found that supported both (1) good performance and (2) flexible programmability. While platforms like Ninjatrader do allow programmability, it's relatively slow and heavy on the system requirements. I also found that it has all kinds of limitations in what one can or cannot do with the programming interface. Sierra Charts just takes the kid gloves off and gives you access to the raw data via a C++ API.
The only downside for me has been the higher margin rates from AMP during the Asia and London sessions. That's something I hope goes away over time.”
