“Simply put, SC allows the user to craft his ideas on screen. I don't have any programming experience and I'm able to craft "what if" indicators graphically showing me the concept. If you are a programer you could go much further. Using Googgle to query the documentation is also great boost. SC is so deep that it was at times frustrating to know something could be done, but it was overwelming trying to find the (easy) solution. I also like the "lightness" of the program. The program doesn't bog down anything.”
“Sierra Chart is a very stable and fast platform and the data feed and trade executions are very good and reliable. It is my favorite trading platform and in combination with AMP it is the best I could image. Just reserve some time to become familiar with the settings and details of Sierra Chart. It is not difficult to adopt the software to your needs and the documentation is really good, too - just be patient.”
“Extremely stable and fast, even with large chartbooks, multiple monitors, footprint charts, volume profiles, and custom studies running simultaneously. , DOM, Volume Profile, TPO, and Market Depth analysis. depth of functionality provided. Denali and Teton integration provide a very robust futures trading ecosystem”
“For me is the best platform for trading their multiples tools and configuration the configuration posiblility is very extensively this made the platform be own.. The worse is not for Mac, i think that in 2026 how is posible the platform don't have a option for Mac”
“There just are no limitations. Best value for money by far. But you have to commit to the long and steep learning curve. But it is really worth it. Never quit but commit. And everything you see on other platforms can be created on SC and better.”
“I favour Sierra Chart for its reasonable data packages and the professional tools available to the non professional traders like myself.
The challenges I have experienced in some cases it’s hard to find answers on how to use some of the features that it offers despite the literature on Sierra that explains a process step by step which is great but the only trouble is the literature is most of the times dense and not written in the simplest of English. For this case I believe video form illustrations would help.
The replay in sim can be a bit of a challenge on Sierra Charts especially where one is playing multiple charts with order flow (FPC) of the same Instrument at once, it doesn’t run as smoothly as a live
I have been trading with Sierra charts for 18months and briefly tried other platforms such as Motive Waves, Tradovate and Trading View I have repeatedly come back to Sierra perhaps because it’s been my training ground but certainly also for the favourable offers mentioned above.”
