0/5 stars and don’t recommend. Used an array of different bucking/nozzle combinations and still could not get it to work properly. It either provides very little hop but more importantly it simply will not feed. BB’s get stuck inside the chamber walls between the unit and feed ramp. $50 for a polished turd

Hi Roland, Sorry to hear about the trouble you are experiencing with the hop up unit. We have noticed that these units seem to perform very well on SCAR-H's, but seem to be hit or miss on SCAR-L's. For that reason we are going to only recommend these to SCAR-H users from now and we will update the product page accordingly. In terms of your issue, we are going to refund you for the unit in full in store credit to your Amped Airsoft web account. You can use this in any of your future orders on the website in checkout. Please reach out to us - Sale@ampedairsoft.com for any further questions or assistance. Thank you, Amped Airsoft Team

This hop-up was recommended to me and was one of the few I heard that actually worked for the scar platform. I was not the one who installed it along with a maple leaf bucking, but the hop-up does not start to work until you hit 8, 9, and 10 on the numbered wheel. Once you hit those numbers, the slightest adjustments really impact the bb. However, I do have to upgrade the internal barrel still before knowing the true impact of this hop-up. As of now, with the stock barrel still, I see very little improvement on bb range/accuracy from the original hop-up and bucking. I plan to update this review after a new inner barrel.

I bought this to replace the old plastic hop up in my scar L since it was starting to break. I had to Dremel out the front lip of the feed tube on the hop up to even get bbs to feed correctly and sand down the side tabs so it could move back and forth in the metal housing. Once I got the unit to fit and feed correctly it worked well. I didn't have to change from a 21.4mm nozzle to a 21.25mm like they recommended. Definitely a step up from the original hop up. Overall it sucks that it's not a direct drop-in and it's the only one on the market but at least theres a replacement better than the original.

I own 3 maxx hop ups and in my opinion they are amazing, while they can be finicky once setup right they are inedible.

Just like the other Maxx products the design for the arm, nub, and adjustment wheel are amazing (especially for flat hops and R-hops). However, the tight tolerances that all the units are made to restricts bucking choices as the unit is very tight (which prevents some buckings from seating properly, deforming the lips into an oval shape). I was able to use a G&G green bucking (with modifications). The unit itself fits great (used in a VFC Scar H SSR.
