After conferring with a few of our tech members, I was informed that the stock you are reviewing would be compatible with a VFC and not the Ares. Maybe that was not clarified prior to your purchase.

“It has sooo much battery space. It is very comfortable compared to other stocks and also very cheap. A few problems would be that screwing the screw into a spring guide might cause misalignment, and it is easy to get scratched.”
“This included the plastic spacer that goes over the lower receiver tang, x1 long bolt, metal back plate/door, x1 short bolt, and threaded sling mount. The sling mount is optional if you replace it with a matching nut instead, or you could cut off the sling loop part with tools. I also swapped the short bolt to a slightly shorter one for a better flush fit.
I installed this on a Specna Core M4, only had to shave down a bit of material on the front side of the stock for perfect fit. The long bolt screwed into the quick change spring guide with no problem.
The stock might fit other brands without any modification. After installation, the full length is similar to a standard buffer tube, but now you can use more types of batteries such as a brick shape lipo.”
