Product Description:
The Tru-HopTM is a high quality, high performance, all weather hop-up bucking designed to significantly boost range and accuracy in your AEG or AEG-compatible replica. This hop-up bucking is easily installed and requires zero† modification. Additionally, this bucking performs consistently in a broad temperature range (-50°C to 230°C/ -58°F to 446°F). You can expect the same range and accuracy regardless of playing in cold snow or in a hot desert. Lastly, the material used in this hop-up bucking has high durability and allows the Tru-HopTM to withstand hundreds of thousands of rounds.
Gen1 & Gen2 Tru-HopTM was the first drop-in R-Hop bucking in the airsoft market. Released in 2016, Gen2 Tru-HopTM remains a crowd favorite. In comparison to Gen3, the Gen2 Tru-HopTM will have a slight range advantage at the cost of precision (group size).
The secret to the performance boost lies with the contact patch inside of the Tru-HopTM bucking. The Gen3 and Gen2 contact patches were designed from scratch and then tuned through numerous redesigns and experiments. The end result is a shape that maximizes performance and is backed by hours of testing, logging, and re-testing.
Tru-HopTM contact patches have two main advantages:
Increased friction over the top of the BB, and
Muzzle energy retention
This means you can over-hop virtually any weight BB without experiencing signification energy loss. The Tru-HopTM bucking does this by allowing the BB to pass more freely during firing since little hop-up pressure is required. The air loss at the nozzle-bucking interface is therefore reduced and more energy is retained during firing. This translates to farther range at your optimal flight path.
Both generations were designed to boost the accuracy of your airsoft gun. Hours of trial-and-error testing ensures compatibility of the bucking with numerous BB brands. Other bucking features were thoroughly studied as well.
Simply put, every aspect of Tru-HopTM was designed and tested to yield the maximum performance from your airsoft gun.

More About TruSight and why Amped Airsoft Carries Them:
TruSight Airsoft was born from an avid airsoft player who is passionate about increasing gameplay performance. The idea behind our Tru-HopTM bucking came from experimenting extensively with other aftermarket hop-up upgrades. Installation of one specific hop-up product proved to be difficult and time consuming, requiring multiple patches to get a well-tuned result.

This bucking added about 10 meters of range, I paired it with an Airtech Studios flat hop for NGRS hop up systems, works flawlessly. after dialed in, the bb flies very flat. to about 50 meters

I've heard nothing but good things about these buckings, so I decided to give it a shot on my guns and see if it lived up to the hype, and I was pretty disappointed with the results. First off, the spacer is a 3d printed part, and not even from an sla printer, but an fdm printer, so the quality isn't great because of the larger layer lines. Second, these things are an absolute pain to put on and take off of a barrel. The material is insanely grippy, so adjustment is annoying. Third, the bucking lips are really loose, so unless my bucking was a dud (wouldn't be the first time), expect double feeds and inconsistent shot placement if it doesn't pass the drop test. Everything about this bucking seemed to be an inconvenience to me, and as much as I'd love to hit up amped customer service and say "there's something wrong with this thing", they already replaced a defective bucking I bought earlier this month It really could just be that it's a picky bucking, and hates all 3 of the different hopups, all 5 of the different nubs I used, and the .25 .30 .32 .36 and .4 bb's. It hated my Combat Union, Lonex, and Maxx hopups, and it hated flat, concave, normal, bridge and H-nubs. I just couldn't win with this bucking.

So bought this bucking on a whim for my HK417 HPA DMR build. Bucking caused feeding issues and eventually resulted in a full on jam. The feed lips rolled in with BB and jammed the gun. I would aboid this there are much better options. MapleLeaf with omega tensioner for one. Good idea

I have used this in both Prommy and EdGI barrels (both in prowin chambers) with the provided nub and hopup arm mod. These shoot notably better than flat hop mods/buckings. Fit great and very consistent with my fusion engine. Probably the best drop in kit out there. A perfectly installed R-hop might shoot better, but this is on par in my experience.

Saw this on Amped when purchasing my new Tippmann. I had ordered other upgrades and was going to R-Hop it, but thought that I would give this a try. I had also ordered the full set of five different nubs from Defcon Eagle to try out in different combinations. I already had an Madbull 6.03 barrel, that has the correct measurements recommended for this bucking. I think that it is important to pay attention to that, and if you need to measure your barrel window, a simple way is to use your metric allen keys to get the depth. Just select one that is close and lay it across the barrel in the window and see what size it is. That will give your the depth of the cut. Use venier calipers to measure the length and width as needed. I pared it with the LONG FLAT, SHORT TIP nub from Defcon that came with a soft tip, identical to M Nub already attached. As a note, I had also upgraded the Tippmann to heavy bolt, so do not know performance with standard bolt. On shooting, I will say that this is one of the more impressive drop in buckings that I have found. Performance wise,it is currently shooting as well as any of the flat hops that I have ever done, and is consistent in the Tippmann platform that I am using it in. I will probably use this for a while to test it for long term function, but overall I am pleased with this as a non modified drop in unit. I have not used the supplied nub though, so cannot say how well that will work. The shot to shot FPS is consistent, and I am hitting man sized targets at 70 yards consistently (365fps .30 gram BB). This is not to say that I am making consistent head shots at that range, but if you are man sized and standing in the open I will hit you somewhere almost every trigger pull at that range. I have several weapons with R-Hop mods and this is not of that caliber, but is vastly superior to other standard bucking that I have used, except maybe Maple leaf, but I use those in GBB and pistols. I will say that it is very comparable to flat hop mod when used in the correct barrel. I cannot say how it will perform in a barrel with a cut that does not match it well. I will leave that for the super techs to determine. Overall, I would highly recommend this bucking for anyone who has a barrel of correct dimensions, (it's great that they include what it works best with), and does not wish to do the flat hop or R-Hop modifications for accuracy. I am satisfied with the Tippmann shooting 70 yards, and anticipate that once broke in, will likely achieve consistent result at 75-85 yards. What more could you ask for in Airsoft. I can currently make head shots consistently at 35 - 40 yards. All ranges checked with laser range finder, they are usually accurate to +/- 5 yards at 100 yards. I hope that this helps. Don B
