“great motor! super strong magnets, very nicely shimmed armature straight out of the box. runs pretty cool as long as you don't have active braking too high on your mosfet. also make sure to properly supply this thing with power. i do want to mention that the zci pinion does NOT mesh spectacularly well with an shs bevel. no matter how well you shim your gears and adjust your motor height, you will get some squeal. in addition, you will see a bit of unwanted wear on your bevel even after 5k rounds or so. it is a d type pinion, so it's easy enough to change out. if you're planning on running this motor with shs gears, do consider changing the pinion to an shs one. it'll assist with meshing, clean shimming, noise reduction, and longevity. other than that, fantastic budget motor.”

“in my arp9 build, even though the motor is high torque im still getting around 30rps on 13:1 gears, would reccomend to anyone who wants a decent speed motor thats also reliable”
