Dr. Streicher says: Gingergrass is a welcome much better priced substitute for rosewood.  Both contain mainly linalool, which is mainly responsible for the therapeutic effect of both oils.  Gingergrass may be used in any formulation where rosewood is required.
About the Plant:
Gingergrass is an herbaceous and fragrant grass that is native to India, thriving in moist soil environments. It grows densely up to around nine feet with long slender stems and flowering tops.
Where it Grows:
Certified Organic Gingergrass
Traditional Uses and Lore:
Gingergrass was used in India all the way back in the 18th century for poor circulation, stress and skin care. It was added in soaps and perfumery due to its uplifting and healing properties and has continued to be in soaps, perfumes and skin care products to this day.
