About the Plant:
The rosa species are small prickly shrubs measuring approximately 2.4 meters high. It is considered a native of Europe and Western Asia. Rosa damascene is commonly known as Bulgarian Rose.
Where it Grows:
Today, the major Rosa damascene growing countries are Bulgaria and Turkey.
Traditional Uses and Lore:
Ancient Rome had an insatiable appetite for roses and rosewater. Rose petals were strewn over the floor and along the streets during many festivals. Many Romans wore rose garlands as a prevention against drunkenness. No other flower has been exalted in literature, mythology and used for so many sacred purposes as the rose.

Rose Absolute is produced from Rosa damascene also known as Damask Rose. It has deep, rich, sweet exquisite fragrance has been valued throughout recorded history for its heart opening, relaxing and aphrodisiac qualities. It takes approximately 4000 kilograms of petals to produce 1 kilogram of pure rose oil. It is also commonly used in the perfume industry.
Topical Application (for use on the skin):
Overall Topical Application: Dilute up to 2-4% in any carrier oil (10-20 drops per tablespoon of carrier oil)
Diffusion:
