“My wife and I are happy with the TV, picture quality is good and all the apps I use are supported. I’ve been able to connect my Samsung Soundbar and Sub Woofer via an optical connection though I still need to use the Soundbar remote to adjust volume and to turn it on and off.”
“I finally figured out how to fix my 4k Sony tv. Replace it with a mid range LG Oled 65 C1. I use a PC for a PVR Media Centre and for years it wouldn't play nice with the Sony. After trying to get satisfaction from Sony Australia, they pretty much indicated that the TV was a lemon and there's nothing to be done. The LG on the other hand begs for more from the Media Centre. I now get smooth motion from Kodi running at an amazing 120FPS. The LG's Youtube app even does Dolby Digital 5.1, but that's more a vintage update.
So, in my humble opinion, if you want something cheap, try TCL, if you want something good, buy Korean like LG, Samsung, but if you don't care if the specs are just lies, by all means buy a Sony. They only care about the movie industry, not Customer satisfaction.
As for buying from Appliance Central, It doesn't hurt to look elsewhere first but then come back to appliance Central for the hassle free transaction. It's a bit like buying a Tesla. You find what you like, go online and order it and a few days later it's delivered to your door, and you can even track where the truck is. It's that simple. Just check what days they deliver in your area. You shouldn't lay modern TV's down so it's best to have it delivered. Besides, these Oled TVs are quite heavy.”
