“Very poor integration with brand new LG G1 65" TV. When connected via HDMI eARC, sound bar volume jumps many decibels when playing PVR signal at 1.3 speed setting, compared to normal playback speed. This does not happen when the soundbar is connected via Optical Cable. But when connecting via Optical, the basic TV remote controls such as Mute, Volume Up/Down, and Power Off buttons do not flow through to the soundbar, so you have to control those functions separately on the soundbar, using the separate soundbar remote control.
It is unworkable having to continually use 2 different remotes to Mute the sound and adjust volumes when connected via Optical, and the volume jumps which occur when connected via HDMI eARC are even worse.
The soundbar speakers all connect to each other easily, and the features are otherwise good. However the small speaker sizes and plastic boxes they are in produce very thin and unsatisfactory sound. Our 15 year old Pioneer plasma display TV sounds noticeably better just using the TV speakers, than any combination of the G1 TV and soundbar speakers, either alone or in combination.
The G1 Gallery TV is superb apart from the sound, but the soundbar is woeful.”
