“I would love some advice, the first 3 weeks the chrysanthemums cuttings looked great but when I checked week 5 they had all died. I had them covered on the Verandah. Can anyone suggest what I should have done? Should I have added water?”

Hello Vicki, These do need to be topped up with water to keep your plants alive - some people will use a spray bottle to mist them, and others will pour a little water in the bottom of a tray and let the cubes soak up the water from the bottom. These cubes are inert, meaning if you have any seeds or cuttings in it for an extended period of time, you also need to provide nutrients. Some will do this with liquid nutrients added to the water - seeds have a small storage of nutrients they can access, as do cuttings, but if you want them to continue to grow and thrive, you would need to increase the inputs as the horticubes do not have nutrients that a soil or hydroponic-nutrient blend would have.
