“On arrival, after a 9 hour drive we were greeted with a bill for gas/elec, then a 'refundable' deposit of £100. Why this is not taken upon booking, we will never know, but it started the holiday off with a bad taste. Receptionist was plain faced, not what you would call a warm welcome. Lodge was ok for what we needed, however had a strange 'fishy' smell in the kitchen area. The 1 sofa gave off a smell of urine as the week progressed, more noticeable when the weather warmed up. Kitchen was poorly equipped, knives were not sharp, very limited utensils, a can opener that didnt work and not even any scissors. Bedrooms - some of the bed linen although clean had some obvious stains. Pool area - clean/tidy, good sized pools, changing rooms very warm. Our holiday straddled a weekend, the first half of the week was quiet, very few people. Second half was awash with noise from 'hen parties' amongst other noisy weekend groups. The vehicles on site during the weekend were a plenty, many driving around looking a bit lost. Traffic on site drove too quick, radios playing - particularly the workmen, very little consideration given to pedestrians with small children.”

“The site is clean and tidy and a bus takes you into the town every hour The lodge which was a rowan comfort plus with hot tub was spacious and clean we only got to use the hot tub once as it was raining all week but it was good the only thing I would suggest is handrails for getting in and out”
