“I use the machine to keep 4 smallish paddocks tidy. In total I would estimate them to be 3.5 acres. The machine is capable and as long as the growth of the grass is not overly long and not wet then it does a good enough job I would not use the machine on a formal area as in my opinion it would not leave a formal finish I would have liked to have seen a cutting deck cleaning point attachment to assist with the cleaning of the underside of the deck I think also that it would have been benificial to have a suspension system on it for those bumpy areas we encounter On the whole I am pleased with my machine up to now It leaves an acceptable finish for the use I have for it and I don’t have to worry about what to do with the cuttings which is a big time saver The few months ( since June) I have noticed a healthier thicker looking paddocks and the time taken cutting them has reduced considerably Overall I would recommend this machine and as in all purchases you make if it represents good value for money paid then you must be pleased”

“Very well built mower and made to last . Few down sides are that’s it’s not comfortable, seat position not good and very rough ride , other one is it’s not good in damp / wet grass , blocks up too quickly on the inside blade ( opposite to the grass outlet )”

“This is a large well built mower that has incredible dexterity that makes it light and nimble to use. It easily cuts around small and large trees and is great fun to use as well. It’s rugged and no frills construction is bullet proof and the durable paint finish is great. Very happy!”

“Purchased the Apex two years ago, the primary reasons being to replace our aging out-front ride-on mower for some of our commercial and larger domestic lawns. The mower had to produce stunning results, cut fast and efficiently and fit in the back of our van! Furthermore, the mower has to look professional and in keeping with our company image. The Apex 48 has far exceeded our expectations and has been used on more lawns than originally visualized allowing us even to use the mower on lawns that previously the clients demanded were cut with our large roller mowers. The cut hight adjustments allow us the flexibility to mow most lawns from very informal / rough fields, park estates to upmarket formal lawns with excellent results with speed and efficiently and not having to take different mowers out every time. The advantages of having the Ariens Apex zero turn is in its small footprint, maneuverability, high cut quality, less strimming of areas, operator comfort, speed and versatility. It should also be pointed out that with the mulching set-up is probably one of the best in the market and under the right conditions, the clients wouldn’t know we didn’t cut and collect the grass. The mower is very fuel efficient and has never broken down thus resulting in a very good return on our investment. On the odd times that I had encountered a few queries, the support from the Ariens dealer network and of course the manufacture has been amazing.”
