“I've tried various brands of ammunition and grain bullets for my heavy barrel Savage 12 FCV 22-250 1/12. The tightest and most consistent shots were with the Nosler 55 grain Ballistic Tip Varmint ammo. Although not all rifles/barrels are created equal, this particular rifle loves this ammo. I like to stick to the same ammo once I find what works best and then I usually don't change. I would definitely put this on your list of ammo to try if you don't mind spending a little more.”
