“I've used this stripped upper in multiple builds. It's a perfect product. In my opinion the forward assist on standard AR uppers is worthless. Think about it; when was the last time you actually needed to use it? If your rifle fails to go into battery you have much bigger fish to fry. Something wrong with the cartridge so it wont chamber? Shoving it into the chamber doesn't sound like a good idea. Just put in a fresh round. And lastly do you really need to load your rifle silently? If you ever do just push on the bolt carrier and BINGO! Your rifle should work. Actually, one more thing. Eugene Stoner never wanted the forward assist. It wasn't even in the original design. Some pencil pushers in the army wanted the rifles to have them. So there you go. A wonderful upper and a little history if you took the time to read this review/ rant. Thank you!”
“Well made, quality excellent. I own several and the have all served me well. Very light weight. Not a "gucci" product, but holds up well to being hit and drug through rocks and mudd. Their M4E1 has a better finnish (slightly darker black). But exactly what I wanted!
