I can't comment on the functionality because like most of us, I'm waiting for other parts to be in stock so I can finish the build. I can however say that the build quality looks top notch of what we would expect from Aero Precision. I have no doubt that the block will work great.

Install went smooth as can be. I used a Spikes tactical midlength gas tube. I measured set screw spacing then dimpled barrel. I little blue lock tight and she was installed. Problem was when I got to range. Gas block was installed onto a Brand New Faxon Heavy Fluted .308 — 16” barrel. Seems the system was overgassed when Aero gas block ran all the way open. So I tried to adjust properly by closing gas block all the way down, and running a single bullet in Mag. Well it turns out that my gas block ran full overgassing in all 15 adjustment clicks on this gas block. No matter what I did, I could not get gas block to close off port. I did everything the instruction sheet said and even watched a couple videos on YouTube. I have 2 other cheap ass adjustable gas blocks that work 100% and was able to tune properly on both firearms. Something is amiss on this Aero Gas block. So after 25 rounds and some cussing and multiple double checks on click adjuster I gave up and cased my new $1500 Aero Precision rifle. I set her in safe. I Plan to call or email Aero this week and going to dissasemble hanguard and gas block this weekend sometime...... I cant see what could be problem. Absolutely no noticeable difference in gas pressure on all 15 supposed restriction clicks. And no way to get gas block to close all the way short of breaking the adjustment screw by using a big ass Hammer. Kind of a disappointment so far. Maybe it is a simple fix. But fuk I spent some serious money and meticulously assembled this thing only to have to take her apart again

Hi Brett, Thank you for taking the time to provide a thorough review. It sounds like you've got one that's not functioning properly. Contacting Aero is your best bet as their tech's can best assist you. They'll likely want to get that unit back to have a look at what's going on with it, and will send out a replacement unit at no additional cost. Let us know if you need assistance.
