Aero Precision AR15 Upper Parts Kit Reviews

4.8 Rating 35 Reviews
I kept typing in .308 upper parts kit and it kept showing me this listing so this is what I ordered. But it's not a 308 upper parts kit. Its a 556 kit. So I just used a strikes industry port cover.

Aero Percision ...what else needs to be said. All parts fit like they were intended. I've read other reviews about this kit, in my experience, no problems with install.

Could have been a 5 star review had I not had to trim off the port cover hinge pin as it was a bit too long. All else, realy is a great product.

Bought two AP upper parts kits for two rifle builds. The one from Arm or Ally went in just fine the first time. Dust cover assembly was easy, as the small c-clip was already installed. Forward assist went in great the first time. However, the AP upper parts kit I bought somewhere else gave me trouble. Forward assist kept hanging up and I had to reinstall a third time before it would function. Might have been operator error, as this was my first attempt to build an AR.

I read onather reviewer who said these were spray painted lol. They did kinda LOOK like it, until you touched it and felt it was WELL coated in grease or CIC. I emailed AP for sh*ts and giggles and they confirmed it was parked. A few days later I took some thinner to half of one and sure enough. Park'd it was some of the nicest uniformed phosphate I've ever seen. Once coated in CIC it did kinda look like paint. If you like it flat non gloss just clean it well.
