“Aero bcg works perfectly in my M5 with a Ballistic Advantage barrel. It was easy to install, easy to disassemble, clean, and reassemble. It appears to use a proprietary firing pin and pin retainer rather than the usual ones.”
“As expected from Aero. Well done. Machining and finish are perfect. Broke it down, cleaned everything, reassembled. No issues noted. Note that the extractor is of the double-spring, double-O-ring config. Don't lose the little bits. I did replace the extractor with a JP version just for grins/evaluation, and to keep the Aero as a spare. This BCG is gorgeous, and it headspaced *perfectly* with its 18" Faxon .308 "new best friend". I'm sure it's blasphemy to mention this, as opposed to an Aero/Aero or Aero/Ballistic Advantage pairing, but I'm trying new things on kind of a budget... and this is all going into an Aero upper + lower set, so I'm reducing variables. Recoil system parts are also upgraded to non-Aero, for proper balance of the gas, recoil, and reciprocating-parts systems. We'll see how it runs, and how durable! I'm optimistic.”
