Still in the middle of my build so I cannot comment on accuracy and things of that nature.. but it looks of quality.. there is a few blemishes on the barrel, but nothing that got me triggered..

When I purchased this barrel on a promotion for less than $150 I wasn’t expecting much but I figured I’d give it a since the Proof Research barrel I had ordered months ago was still on backorder. When I received the barrel I immediately noticed that the machine work was top notch and the barrel had a very nice bead blasted finish, not shiny like most come. I installed the barrel on a Seekins Billet receiver set with top of the line parts. Upon firing I had some hang ups at first, there was probably a burr on one of the lugs which isn’t uncommon. Within 20 rounds it was cycling flawlessly and I had tuned the Seekins adjustable gas block. I got on paper at 100 yards with the Nightforce ATACR 4-16 F1 at the same time and tried some groups. I was just using a very mild load with 77gr Nosler Custom Competition bullets (also available from Monmouth) and Power Pro 2000MR powder that I had worked up that shoots well in many AR’s and works with all gas systems. The barrel easily produced consistent sub 1/2 minute groups and showed an ES of 11 and SD of just 3. Thats superb performance for any AR15 barrel. I also shot a few 20 rounds groups that were all sub 3/4MOA. I've shot many 5 round groups with no cool down between them sometimes shooting up to 50 rounds in a string and the barrel has absolutely zero POI shifts or change in accuracy so I’d say the slightly larger 20 round groups were probably due to shooter error and not any characteristic of the barrel. I’ve got about 500-600 rounds through the barrel over the last few weeks and other than pushing a wet patch and dry patching it when it was first installed I have done no cleaning. The barrel shows no signs of excessive fouling or anything else out of the ordinary. Actually much less copper fouling than my WOA barrel. I plan on cleaning it and doing before and after chrono readings to see if there is any change, but with the consistency of the barrel so far, I’m not expecting any. My generic blasting/target load shoots so well that I don’t plan on doing any load development for the barrel either. Overall you cannot go wrong with this barrel, it truly performs as good as barrels costing several times it’s price. I plan to leave the barrel on the rifle even after/if my Proof comes in because I just don’t see it being able to out perform the Ballistic Advantage.

This will be my first upper build with a "brand name" barrel. I saw the undeniable sale on all BA, and the next thing I know, I find myself building a quality upper. Very excited to test my skills with some quality ammo out of a quality barrel and upper set up. The free/fast shipping was a huge plus too!
