“BA is a great company and they produce some of the best barrels across all lines that you can buy. I currently own two of their barrels and love them. High quality, finish and accurate, I only wish availability was better.”
“I have yet to be abke to shoot the barrel, as it went into the mail the day after receiving it. When it returns from the shop at its new 12.5" length, I'm sure I will enjoy making my neighbors not enjoy it.”
“Took it out today and it shot like a dream in my Aero Precision M5. Didn't shoot more than 50 yds. but I would say it's close to 1 MOA. Very Accurate barrel so far.”
“I'd like to be transparent in that I did not buy this barrel from Monmouth. With that said, my 18" Government profile 308 barrel has taken me some time to figure out, but at last I've created a load to get Sub-Moa accuracy. The barrels are certainly high quality and capable, but mine was a little choosy in what type of ammunition it liked. I started with some match grade factory ammo which lead me to start reloading 168gr ELD Match. I was struggling to break 1 MOA so I decided to change to 175 grain Nosler RDF. Within my 3rd group of my ladder test I was consistently shooting 3/4 inch groups at 100 yards with a load starting at 42 grains of varget and working up to 43 grains in 0.2 grain increments. If your barrel does not print groups right away, don't despair. Make sure to always do a break in and take your time in finding the accurate load.”
“I bought this barrel to match up to an Aero Precision M5 upper, with the added wrinkle of a Cry Havoc Tactical breakdown conversion. The Ballistic Advantage 308 Modern Series 16—
“I own a few high quality barrels including Rainier/Shilen ultramatch .308 and .338 Fed. This barrel easily matches these in accuracy at a better price point. Once I tuned my loads for this barrel it shot between .40 and .53 groups consistently. No break-in required. The finish was sleek and the fit was perfectly snug in an Aero lower. I will be purchasing more of these in the future.”
