Norma Precision 223 Primed Brass - 500ct Reviews

5 Rating 1 Reviews
Cases are heavier than Lake City, these go 102.7 - 103.9 gr, LC go 94.6 - 95.9 gr (primed). I had to back off my normal charge of TAC in order to get the velocity I expected, the accuracy I wanted, and to avoid cratering primers. Headspace is as expected with new brass, on the short side but within spec. No issues of any kind, no failures of any kind, no bad brass found yet, no dented necks. I am getting moa or better, prone with a service rifle and sling, 4x scope at 200 yards, 77 SMK. I liked these enough i ordered 500 more, and have loaded most of the first batch of 500 with TAC and 77 SMK for matches. Havent tried them with any other powder. Haven't resized and reloaded any yet but have used Norma .308 and had very good luck, 8-10 reloadings with hot FTR ammo before primer pockets got loose, but also was annealing necks. These .223 primed cases are being used for service rifle and wont see more than 4-5 uses, and will not get annealed. I have every reason to expect continued good performance from these cases.
