“I was sent an e-mail asking me to review my order so here is my review. This is not meant to be a complaint, but rather a response to that request. I ordered 6,000 once-fired 9mm. I do a *lot* of reloading, buy my components in bulk, and count everything. Counting the brass is easier than it sounds because I decap first, before I wet tumble. I believe the old saying that "You get what you measure" (or count, in this case). This also makes it easy to sort-out bad brass, mixed calibers, etc. From the batch, I ended-up with 5,947 usable pieces of 9mm. Not included in the 5,947 are the following:
6 .380 I don't reload .380, but I'll eventually trade it when I have enough
2 Makarov I do reload this so...good
7 damaged 9mm luger that were too kinked/crushed to be usable
14 fired "Maxxtech" brass (more on this below).
2 Live, complete "Maxxtech" bullets.
Watch out for Maxxtech brass. I missed one in my sorting and immediately noticed a problem when I try to resize it (resistance to the die). The Maxxtech brass has an internal "shelf" in the case, apparently to prevent seating the bullet too deeply at the factory. I consider this brass unusable. Then, there's this: http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?316648-SAFETY-ALERT!!-Maxxtech-9mm-Brass
I pulled the projectile from the 2 live Maxxtech rounds and will use it, so not a total loss.”
“Very pleased with the service and product. I have ordered once fired 9 mm, .45 acp, and .223 brass. Also very happy with the coated 124 grain 9mm and the 230 grain coated .45 acp Bullets.
I would recommend to a friend.”
