308 Winchester (FGMM) Brass Reviews

4.5 Rating 17 Reviews
Numerous cases had loose primer pockets so bad seated primers fell out on their own. Hard to believe once fired brass. Most likely left behind due to being reloaded until no-longer usable. Numerous cases not of the right caliber, numerous dented so bad making them unusable.

after having bought 2 different one hundred round batches of '.308' and they turned out to be NATO brass l was hesitant to try someone else but l was glad these were actual .308 brass, yes l know the 7.62x51 brass will work but l'm just getting into reloading and don't feel like messing with two different powder loads just yet.

The brass was pretty much as advertised. Appeared to be from two sources based on very minor marks on the case necks of about 40 percent of them. I rejected one case out of the order. Also had about six of the wrong cases in the mix. With wrong cases and the reject I still ended up with 250 very usable cases. I would order again.

This was my first order from Monmouth. I ordered 500 pcs of once fired .308 match grade brass. It was delivered promptly and packaged well. What I received was about 505 pieces of brass. One piece is unusable (the neck had a sever dent/bend in it) and one is a 30-30 piece of brass. I'm going to make a second order of the same within the next week. I highly recommend Monmouth for all your reloading brass needs

This is NOT my first order. It is however the first time I have been a little disappointed. I ordered the federal match brass, 750 in fact. I am trying to put together 1,200 rounds of weight sorted 800-1,000 yard of precision rounds for a tactical class. I already owned 450 pieces of once fired federal match brass. I will need a second order because I had to cull so many out of my order. Case mouths badly gouges, necks smashed, and a high percentage of nearly closed case mouths. I don't order the lake city brass (cheaper) in hopes that they weren't machine gun battered and were more likely not beaten up, but simply shot. Either way I feel like Monmouth did a pour job of culling this batch and their 1% over packaging should have been 20-25% to cover what I won't be using. At that rate, this was really expensive brass. At approx 1000 pieces of suitable brass, i have do something to get to my goal of 1,200 I don't know if it will be another order from Monmouth or not. I hope they read this and try to make it rate. I liked the availablity, and the time it takes to get to my door once I placed the order.

Got them in 4 business days. Cleaned and polished up fast. Primer pockets are nice and tight. Sized up nicely w/ no trouble. Haven't pulled the trigger on 'em yet, but all signs point to a bunch of primo rounds.
