“Works perfectly. Was difficult to find the set screw version but I’m glad I did. I’m not a fan of the clamp on style gas blocks. I didn’t realize that this gas block is packaged with the adjustment screw tightened so that the rifle will not cycle without adjustment (even though the instructions say so). If you actually read the instructions and adjust the screw the way it tells you, it will work perfectly. After installing, open the adjustment screw 18 clicks and start adjusting from there”
“When using DI systems, always use this brand. The only exception would be if you have a pistol length gas port. If you do then you’ll need a forward handgrip or you’ll burn yourself. This gas block definitely makes the system run cleaner though.”
“I use these gas blocks on every AR I build, and this one was the first I’ve ever had an issue with. The gas block in itself was fine, the issue is, this .875” gas block will not work with a standard gas tube. The bolt carrier gas key would not line up with the gas tube. This gas block needs a straight gas tube, which isn’t a big deal, I just wish I didn’t have to buy a second gas tube because the normal style wouldn’t work.”
