“I've used these systems in about 8 builds now and the are top notch! I prefer these over the adams arms because of the bleed off system. If you are running a can this piston system is a must have! Your BCG will stay clean and you won't get gassed out because everything is vented under your handgaurd or through the front of the gas block if it's exposed. Theres not a lot of heat build up with sustained fire either. Recoil impulse is slightly different too but not in a bad way. It's more of a soft push than a jolt.”
“Installation of the kit was easier than expected then expected, however, it is recommended that someone with knowledge about how to install gas blocks is a requirement. It is also important to note, that most likely, your rifle hand guard will no longer fit, even though, the gas block and push rod are low profile. So, with that, it is best to have another hand guard in mind to replace the original one of a standard AR.”
“Installation went without a hitch.
Test fired my rifle after installation of the Superlative Arms Adjustable Piston Conversion Kit having set it at 4 1/2 turns counterclockwise/open, (18 clicks), and it worked flawlessly. The bolt carrier group stayed open upon the last round fired. I continued adjusting outward to 25 clicks and the bolt carrier group continued to stay in the locked open position upon the last round fired. Spent/ejected cases were cast to about a 3:00 to 4:00 position from me.
I like this piston gas system and recommend it to other shooters.”
