“This was the first time using a BCG with the Diamond Like Coating. It is infinitely better than phosphate and at least two stages above nitride or nickel-boron. It is VERY hard, yet super slick. Running dry would definitely not be a problem. So far, it has eaten over 1200 rounds without a single issue. This is now my go-to coating, and the low price from Arm or Ally is downright surprising.”
“Only a few hundred rounds with the DLC 6.5 Grendel BCG and it still looks brand new. The finish looks like it was never used and carbon wipes off easily with a rag. I have owned many bolt carrier groups in various calibers from nitride coated to nickel boron and this is by far the best coating I have seen. I wish they put this coating on parts kits.”
