“Thoroughly impressed by this jacket. Warm, durable, great aesthetic. Brought it for casual wear in the cold and for hunting as a tough layer. With the body and collar liner this jacket is bloody warm. But also heavy. While hunting I’ll wear it without the body liner as a outer layer. So I won’t have to deal with the weight.

“This is honestly one of the best jackets I have owned. While not new, the stitching was perfect, without a single loose thread. The color and condition of the fabric was uniform and in excellent condition. If it wasn’t for a broken bottom drawstring (which I don’t/wouldn’t use anyway), I would have thought that the jacket was brand new.
The liner showed a bit more wear. The outside showed some piling and the fluffy inner appears older. This isn’t a big deal as it doesn’t affect the function in anyway, it’s hard to explain but the fluff feels “stiffer” and I imagine it was fluffier when it was brand new. However it is still nice to the touch and very comfortable.
The jacket is very, very, very warm. I even managed to break a sweat during a mid winter trip to Dunedin. The outer material is heavy duty (canvas?) and is quite tough. It seems to repel water and rain quite well. The jacket also has rain flaps covering any button, zip and pocket for extra protection too.

“Boy was I impressed by this coat. Tough canvas outer, but very tidy and sharp looking, warm fur inner, but still soft against the skin, and best of all, a tall furry collar that you can fasten up to your ears. Has a belt, hood and buttons for Africa, so you know it'll hold together. It has a waist too, so it doesn't look like you're wearing a box. If you don't have a waist, then you can ignore this aspect of it I guess.
The only reason I don't recommend this coat any higher is because I don't want to see more of them around besides mine!”
