It's lightweight, folds down to bugger all so your more inclined to take it even if its not going to rain. I've had it out in some heavy rain where it's kept me dry, breathable, and windproff. Hood folds away when not needed.
Only down side is no pockets or waist draw cord but it does have a hem draw cord but I haven't found any of that an issue.”
