“Have worn this for the past week as a base layer at work and very pleased so far. I'd describe the material as similar to moleskin but not quite as soft (that might change with repeated washing). So far it hasn't picked up the smell you get with cotton base layers but would still consider merino superior in that respect if you need to wear the garment for an extended period of time. It is a slim fit, particularly around the neck so zipping it up all the way mightn't be the best option for some people but the shawl collar gives good warmth to the back of the neck and you can always team this with a head-over (have already recommended the RNLA one in a previous post). The colour is a cross between olive drab and field grey so it is fairly compatible with AMCU/MTP/UCP or even NZDF cam outer layer but is not so "military" that you couldn't team this with jeans and wear it Rugby top style. Would consider buying another one at this price. Cheers.”
“I forgot to add, I think the button cuffs are a good idea vs. elasticated cuffs. if you need to, you can easily roll the sleeves up with out creating a "tourniquet effect" on your forearms. Cheers again.”
