“Completely waterproof even after 40 years or so when mine was made. It did come with some small holes, but I used duct tape to patch them up. While it was waterproof, the material seemed to be a little old and prone to tearing on the seams around the edge, especially around the metal buttons. Recommend reinforcing the edges with duct tape or be very gentle with the buttons. Overall though, the hood was spacious, the dimensions were nice and large, and it could still function as a poncho.”
