Even if you're indifferent to Alpenflage as a pattern this is insane quality for the price (but if you are indifferent please get something else like flecktarn and let us have these ). These are out of stock as I'm writing this but my experience mostly should apply to the issued ones too.
It's lightweight, durable and surprisingly warm—in dry weather it's been good down to about 40 degrees Fahrenheit, at least for 10ish minutes of walking at a time like I've tried it. Warmer than that your arms might even heat up a bit if you don't unzip the wrists, but you can still wear it inside just fine. Also, it looks extremely cool and can be worn casually without making you look full tactical LARPer like the M70 jacket sometimes does. Be cautious with your washing machine if you like the colors or are afraid of pilling, but I don't think you can put a hole in this unless you really want to.”
