“I took a chance and ordered the 85-91 Ford kit to try to fit on a 05 Superduty Dana 60 with the JK 1 Ton truss (Going on a XJ). Works great As always the quality of the parts and fitment together are perfect. For my application I had to do a bit of minor trimming to make it work but not a big deal at all. Modifications required 1) The 05 axle has a bigger 3.75 tube diameter so the copes for the braces needed to get enlarged by cutting a sliver out. 2) I made some minor trims at the diff opening to fit around the larger shoulders on center casting. 3) I slightly trimmed the outer upper corners to fit up against the trusses coil seats. The width is perfect and matches the outer edges of coil mounts to tie together. 4) FYI I dont think this would work with the standard JK 1Ton track bar bracket in ite correct location but Im modifying that and moving it up higher for my set up and that will clear the steering. I am using this with the Trail Gear hydro ram (not listed in description) using 1 thick weld on threaded plates for the brackets. 1 plates gets the ram up just over the round openings in the braces. Even with the shorter superduty steering arms everything seems to clear fine. Great kit (Hope this helps someone with a non-standard application)”
“Only thing I can say is I am so glad I bought all my trusses and steering arms ram mount and bolt kits and even bridge all mounted perfect together building 2 more trucks in couple months and will be buying all same products”
“I love this mounttruss I went to full hydro on my ford kingpin and this was the solution. I went back and ordered the top truss and bridge to tie it all together. My front axle is now so pimp it doesnt look like it belongs under my beat up YJ Another Artec success”
“Product is very well made. I layed the ram mount up to my axle positioned it and welded it on. I didnt have to do any cutting to make it fit. Looks great.”
“I bought this mount for my 85 runner to mount my ram on my 60. My truck is leaf sprung and i was a little hesitant to buy this because i thought my springs would be in the way of where the ram needed to go. I was told i could make it work with a little fab work. If i welded it on low enough to go under the springs it was then way to low and the mounting plate would cover my diff in a way that would stop me from ever pulling out my gears-when the time comes. If i clocked it over the springs the ram was hitting my spring plates. Im not saying this is a bad product but I am saying I dont recommend this on a leaf sprung truck. I cut and cut to make it work but I wasted my money in the long run. After I link my front end I will definitely buy this mount”
“I called to order a ram mount for my leaf sprung K5 that i am doing a D60 swap on and explained that i would not be linking it. I was convinced No problem it will fit right on by the rep on the phone. Hardly the case. Youll need to cut slots for the U bolts trim the ends to fit by the leafs and enlarge the cut out for the ram ends if you want the bottom of the plate to be close to flat with the ground. For the price if i had to do it again i would just fab my own.”
