“This rack is freaking awesome. High quality looks great very sturdy fits the factory rails perfectly was packed extremely well for shipping. I wanted something low profile and not HUGE so I could still go through an automatic car wash and this rack is great for that I like all the tie down cutouts as well. “received my rack about a week after ordering on line. came in a sturdy box with each piece well wrapped no dents or scratches. installation was about an hour more or less I did not loosen the 4Runner rails. Rack is very low profile. I have not attached any accessories yet but the cross bars as mentioned in other reviews are very close to the roof. It would be nice (maybe easier) if there were channels where you could drop in a nut or a carriage bolt and just slide it to where it needs to be. Overall very happy for a quality accessory”
“First off fit & finish of this roof rack is very high quality as Artec achieves in there products. Very low profile clean looking no wind noise what so ever The powder coat came perfect with good packaging. It took me about 45 min to install I saw no need to loosen the whole rack just loosened rear bolts worked for me but over all very pleased”

“I really like the Artec Venture Series roof rack on my 5th GEN 4Runner for these reasons easy to install by yourself its high quality has clean lines triangular cut outs on side rails allows for tie downs and gives it a rugged look cross rails securely attaches to existing roof rails low profile (good overhead clearance for parking in any garage - I have to remove the higher mounted roof basket on my Sequoia in order to fit it in my garage). This tip wasnt mentioned in Wills install video but will be very helpful to engage the 516 bolts with the two press nut tabs on each side of the cross rails. TIP Screwing in these bolts will be a blind and frustrating task unless youre lying down on the roof to get a visual but no one will consider doing that. Therefore this step is all about feel. To align the cross rail bolt holes with the press nut bolt holes insert a punch awl or small screw driver in the cross rail bolt hole toward the factory side rail then slide the press nut in from the side until it hits the awl. Pull the awl out just enough to continue sliding the press nut in while lightly touching the moving press nut with the awl. Once the cross rail and press nut holes align the awl will fall into the hole of the press nut. Pull the awl out then insert the 516 bolt. It will be easier and faster to engage the bolt threads with the press nut threads using this technique. Will can install anything with a snap of his fingers LOL”
“This product has turned out very well for me. The metal is stamped which has been stamped which gives it great strength and has many points to attach metal Grommets bungee or rope tied down in spots. Are used primarily for day trips so it size is adequate for me. I would say the only problem was installing it. Although it was nice that they put a finish on the screws. This did make it a bit challenging to screw them in. Its very important you get the correct size tool to install. I am still very happy with this product though.”
“Bought a Venture roof rack for my 2018 4R..You can sometimes tell how good a product will be by how its packed and Artec didnt cut any corners here. Once unpacked I found a complete kit very well made with highgrade hardware and a nicely powder coated surface. Getting the bolts lined up on the side rails was a little challenging but otherwise the install was a snap. Seems like it will last the life of my 4R. Looking forward to putting it to use.”
