Live Fire Santa Maria Grill Reviews

3.8 Rating 4 Reviews
Read Ash & Ember Reviews

Nothing beats the traditional flavors of a charcoal or wood-fired grill authentic to Santa Maria-style BBQ. This premium Argentine grill features a sturdy flywheel to adjust your grate height for perfect heat control — set your BBQ close to the flames for hot and fast searing or raise the grate for a low and slow sizzle!
The large firebox is lined with ceramic bricks to spread and retain heat evenly for optimal cooking. The generous 30" cooking area is crafted with stainless steel V-grates to drain fats and juices into the grease trap to minimize grill flair ups and keep your cooking space clean – or for basting later. And a spacious shelf built into the bottom of the grill provides plenty of space for storing wood and charcoal while the side shelves are excellent for tools and food prep. Cook up delicious steaks, tri-tips, or Santa Maria BBQ – then effortlessly roll your portable grill back to its home base with your grill’s strong castor wheels!

Love the hardware and the design however after 2 uses the paint is peeling off the drip tray and I can’t use it to braise for fear of getting paint chips in my food.

I've used it once and it worked great for a slow grilled large piece of beef, which is why I bought it. I'm looking forward to more successful tests !

Can only give it 4/5 due to 2 holes not being tapped and no cover available for this grill. This grill is robust and mostly made of 10 guage steel. It weighs 320 lbs and requires 2 people to assemble the toaster oven onto the cart, even with the bracket, firebrick and grates removed. The assembly is straight forward and easy. This grill is not painted with heat paint and some of the paint will curl and damage from the flames. I found a custom cover place and ordered one for $130 to fit the grill. I have a full unboxing assembly and a short grill video on my YouTube channel @Sambosplace.
