“The actual leather looks and smells great. Seems to work well as a coaster. But, disappointed in the edging. The hairy look is not great. I expected the clean look, like you see in the pictures. But, nothing a little snip, snip doesn't fix. Regardless, would buy again and it won't stop me from buying other items from Ashland.”
“The coasters are perfect, exactly what I’d expect from Ashland! I have the black and the navy CXL and a set of tan Dublin.
While all 3 sets are made with the same spec, thickness and clean edge finishing. I think the Dublin may be the best leather in my opinion for a coaster. When the CXL gets a few drops of moisture on it from the glass, it sometimes sticks to the glass when you pick it up. That said, thats more so the characteristic of the leather than a reflection of the work.
