“I bought this wallet kind of spur of the moment, since it happened to be on sale when I came to this site after hearing about Ashland Leather from the Walletopia YouTube channel. I had been hoping to find a floral patterned wallet for a while, so pulling the trigger on this one was easy.
The sewing is interesting, as I've yet to see another wallet sewn this way: The front piece of shell leather seems to have small holes punched into it for the thread to weave through, but the back Dublin piece has holes just big enough to allow the thread to pass through, giving the impression that there aren't any holes on the back. The sewing is clean and tight on both sides and contributes to the aesthetic of the wallet.
As for the leather, this is my first wallet encounter with both shell cordovan and Dublin, and I've never been more impressed by leather quality. The front piece of shell feels and looks firm despite being the thinnest cut leather piece. The cut in it allows easy access to your cards, so it's perfect both aesthetically and functionally. The other two pieces of leather are the Dublin leather, and they are twice as thick as the shell. This leather is INCREDIBLY supple and will become reshaped according to how you pull at it to access your less needed cards. The back piece of leather is decorated by lines all over it, which I quite like. The back pocket does take some digging to use, naturally, so it's a little inconvenient, but that's why less used cards go back there, and in any case the cards may be removed easily once the leather breaks in. And of course, both types of leather smell fantastic; I've had this wallet for some weeks now, and the smell is still present.
To conclude, although I honestly had some misgivings about how I'd feel about a simple cardholder with such a premium price tag, I'm now in love with it and Ashland Leather too. The quality of even this simple offering is through the roof. This cardholder stands out, and I cannot recommend it enough if you're considering a cardholder wallet.

“Love it. Don't need to carry cash in these Covid-19 days and when I do this pairs with a money clip perfectly. Front pocket or back it is minimalist and slim, no printing in your pockets and not an overstuffed George Costanza backbreaker. This is my first with the western floral stamping and it rocks. Very unique. Would buy it again.”
