“Beautiful wallet that feels great and of high quality. It looks like it's very well made and not a stitch out of place. The smell is absolutely amazing and the leather is supple to the touch. I fit in 12 cards with no problems. I was also blown away by the presentation. It came in a beautiful box with the Ashland logo in actual wax stamp (I've never seen anybody else do that), and a nice dust bag and card. It felt like I was receiving a gift from myself.
One little nitpick I have is that on the front of the wallet is a small dimple that might be an insect bite or something on the leather. I'm pretty sure it won't impact the longevity of the wallet, but it would have been great if they had put the dimple on the back of the wallet rather than the front, since I had mine monogrammed.”
“Well my first impression was that it was very nice, but perhaps a bit thinner than I expected. Some of the online video's, including some from Ashland, showed Dublin with a bit more character/thickness than the one I got. I realize that grain/character varies greatly and I surely didn't make any special requests. I also realize that 3mm leather is used for old school hiking boots, not wallets. I'm sure if I had any special requests, you would do your best to accommodate. I can't stop looking at the selections in shell cordovan. Lol. That being said, since my initial impression, it just feels better every time I touch it. I can tell it's going to break in beautifully. It grows on me every day and I can't wait for the patina to develop. I just love to touch it, and the amazing smell! I might love leather as much as you guys do. Thank you for a quality product.”

We originally developed the thin horsehide interior for the Foxes to keep the wallet as thin as possible while retaining as much strength as possible. I have some ideas for how to keep the same color inside and out. Hopefully coming soon. Wear it well! -Phil
“I've been using this for about a week, and so far it's been fantastic. What I noticed right out of the box is that it's very light as far as billfolds go, but well-constructed and sturdy. It also stays relatively slim even when filled up. I haven't been gentle on it, and I actually enjoy the little nicks and folds it's developed; gives it character. The colour of the leather is great too, and closely matches the photos from the website. I'd say this could be great Ashland gateway wallet if you don't want to jump on a shell cordovan wallet right away. Can't go wrong here!”
“Received the item today and it is good quality leather with just the right amount of space for all my cards. Wish there was more space for cash bills and receipts but otherwise it is well designed and smells wonderful. Initially was surprised by how distressed and slightly unevenly colored the outer leather looked for a brand new wallet and it scratches extremely easily. However, I tried rubbing it vigorously on my tan khakis and the leather started antiquing immediately into a uniform medium brown and now it looks like beautiful well worn leather.”
