“So I’ve been a long time user of DSC... their blades have stayed the sharpest and lasted the longest (in most cases this is really just more than one shave), but I love the Athena razor! It is coated with something (aloe? Moisturizing strip?) which concerned me at first as I have sensitive skin, but this left no cause for concern! I love the color options, I got the dark blue, and the beads are super easy to change out! Over all, love this razor!”
“I was previously a DSC member. Decided to switch just because I felt like their razors weren't quite doing the trick. Not to mention, I have to be careful around cut probe areas.
Now, I am a once a week shaver, so I'm not sure if I can give the best review yet, but so far, I really like my Athena razor. The magnet wall hang really got my toes curling. I imagine it's probably more sanitary like that? The handle is surprisingly lightweight but definitely doesn't feel flimsy. The razor has aloe bars! My DSC razor did not :( Like other razors, it does wear down after awhile but, so far, I've been able to glide over all my hairy parts without that dreaded scrape of a razor cut. All with the worn down aloe that is.
Also I am not sure where Athena is based but my razor shipped from a city within my state which granted me with the blessing of fast shipping. Unlike with DSC, sometimes I wouldn't get my razors till like two weeks after they said they "shipped".”
