“OK. Sit tight because this is about to get long. lol. I just recently moved into a new home and upon doing so, I purchased new cartridges (I've been using Gillette Fusion and Proglide for years) and a new thing of shave cream (I've been using Aveeno for years as well). Let me tell you, I don't know what the heck it was, but literally every single time I shaved (between 1-2 times a week) I got razor burn after moving. I've been using the same method of shaving for 6+ years, so, I know HOW to shave. Well. Finally about a month of getting such bad razor burn that I would cry, I looked at different razors. I've tried other "shave clubs" in the past but have always gone back to Gillette after one use for one reason or another. I finally decided to order from Athena Club for a few reasons, one was the fact that they have Aloe in their shave cream. Two is the silicone handle. Three was the magnetic piece. I like that. So, I ordered it and waited. After receiving it, I ran myself a little bath and popped the thing out of the box. I LOVE the little magnetic piece that comes with it. I put it on the side of my shower opposite of the shower head to keep it from rusting. I slathered on some of the shave cream and went to town. Now, My legs were fairly hairy and I was looking like a Sasquatch at this point because I was sick of razor burn, but this little razor plowed right through those hairs like a machete in a jungle. Then I soaked my legs for a few minutes and did the second pass. ( I warm my legs up first, shave IN the direction of the hairs, then warm them up again and shave against the hairs) The second pass, going AGAINST the hairs, went so smoothly, I literally had tears of joy falling down my face. No more razor burn!! I couldn't believe it. Literally. I've used it twice since then, and same smooth results. I don't know if I got a bad batch of Gillette razors, bad batch of Aveeno cream, but I was even starting to think it was the water at my new home! This little razor has fixed whatever the issue was so I went ahead and subscribed because I'm not willing to be a guinea pig and find out the cause of the razor burn. It was awful. I chose the white handle, and I love it. It stays in my hand and doesn't slip and slide and the color is really clean looking. I love it.”
