Augason Farms is my go to online store for wonderful well priced prepper items. I gave not tried the tomato powder, but have confidence it will be great with stored pasta in an emergency.

I do have a dehydrator, and last summer made my own tomato powder. Peeled all 8 pounds of tomatoes, sliced, and dried for 10 hours, then ground to a powder in my Vitamix. After all that time and effort, I got about 12 oz of tomato powder. I love using it, especially when a recipe calls for a tablespoon of tomato paste...no fuss and no waste. This is like finding gold! I was thrilled when I saw it. This is my first order, but won't be my last. Also ordered the butter powder, corn, peas, blueberries, vegetable stew, honey powder, and the milk.

I will never ever buy another can of tomato paste, tomato sauce or tomato juice again! This tomato powder is now a staple in my kitchen. I LOVE adding it to stews and anything that needs thickening up or just for additional flavor. Add a tablespoon to my ground beef when making hamburger patties on the grill...super flavorful and keeps them moist! Love it in my homemade salsa for that extra punch of fresh tomato flavor. Best Bloody Mary add-in, too. It's my go to pizza sauce, as well. SEE! I LOVE this stuff!
