We have a small household so using a whole stalk of celery before it goes bad is not usually possible. Having my can of dehydrated celery in the pantry, gives my cooking a lot more texture and possibilities. Augason Farms has not just survival vegetables but convenience vegetables at high quality levels too.

Its Expensive, but, its also a good product. I grind it into a powder for a Vegan Jerkee I sell. Its a lot easier than buying a whole case and cutting it then dehydrating it then powdering it, cuts my prep time down a lot. I like that its small, so less grind time for me. If i could find a good product cheaper some place else I would buy it, but for now, this is it. Quality product.

I LOVE dried celery. You can toss it into soups and casseroles with a little extra water and it hydrates and cooks at the same time. Dried celery is great in salads as well. I soak it in a little lukewarm water for 10 minutes, drain it and add it to a salad. I think dried celery keeps it's flavor better in dishes than freeze-dried and it is less expensive.

I was constantly buying celery to make tuna salad or put in my soups. The majority of what I bought would end up in my compost pile because I could never use all of it in time before it got old. With this celery, I don't have that problem. Rehydrate the amount that I need and I'm ready to go with any recipe I've got...the remainder waiting for the next time. I love this product and will keep a constant supply on my shelf.
