Loved this product. I use whole milk in mine. Brush with melted butter on top and bake according to directions. If you don't have a rolling pin and extra flour to roll out, then the Old Fashioned Drop Biscuit turns out GREAT!

I've never been a fan of biscuits and gravy but my husband and sons love them. I bought these when we moved off-grid at the start of our homestead journey and even I love them! The flavor on its own is outstanding, but add it with something else and you absolutely cannot go wrong with these! As opposed to spreading out flour to 'roll' them out on, I just use a little bit of the mix itself and it does the job every time! There is really no need for a rolling pin unless you are making dozens of batches at a time. No need for a biscuit cutter either. Roll it into a log of sorts and then pinch off an inch or so for each serving. Take it and roll it around in your palms, the same way you would do with a hamburger patty. If you want thicker biscuits, pinch off two inches at a time. Any prepper, off-gridder or homesteader already has a generous supply of baking powder on hand, needing that is not a problem. A great value, use them for breakfast, lunch or supper, you can't go wrong!

We enjoy this product. As for needing a rolling pin in a pinch how about tear pieces off with your hands and put them in little clumps to cook. Who says they have to be cut out into biscuit shapes??? I put extra water in mine and add jam and put it in muffin pans. If you're a prepper you have baking powder in #10 cans too so I think the first review is a mess. If you don't have a rolling pin or a place to roll it out on then what are you mixing it in? I assume if you don't have the first two things then you certainly don't have a bowl OR an oven to cook it. The flavor is fine, it's flour. There are numerous other ways to give it flavor. We add a bit less water because it's too dry in our opinion.

We take the everyday size of the biscuit mix with us when camping. It's just the two of us and this way, we can regulate how many biscuits we make. I used to buy the ready to bake 5 pc. biscuits in the can, but there was always one left after breakfast and hardened so much it was a waste to keep or use later. The leftover biscuit is probably just like the Augason Farm mix and other biscuits that have been baked, but the beauty of this dry mix is that I only have to make 4 biscuits if I want or more if I need. The biscuits come out light and fluffy and rise to an acceptable height in my camper oven. I pack enough mix and baking powder addition in sandwich size baggies where they do not take up much room at all.

Loved these biscuits for the convenience. I add powdered milk and chicken/beef bullion powder or onion/garlic powder to the dry mix right out of the can to boost the flavor. I bake and serve immediately..being a family of six…one batch is perfect for a meal for my family.
