Williams family. The U.S. Navy has been feeding powdered eggs to the Officers and Enlisted Sailors at sea since before WW 2. We called them green eggs. If one mixes powder to water in the right proportion there ought to be no problem. I don't recall any sulfur taste ever and we had them most every morning when at sea.

I am well over 50 and have never used powdered anything until I recently began experimenting with Augason Farms. This morning, I cooked up some of the scrambled eggs. Wow! I was shocked....they cooked, looked and tasted just like real scrambled eggs! Like the other reviewer, for the first time I kept it pure and simple. Very good. And next time, I'm going to try adding some of the cheese powder and bacon bits (soy bacon...but can't beat green chili on eggs!). Also, going to try the dehydrated hash browns, etc until I have created an entire breakfast menu from powdered or dehydrated items. These are a 10!!

Mr. Williams, I am sorry you had a bad experience. Myself, I have been using products from Augason Farms for several years without any problems. So you know, I use these products daily and find them to be a great bargain. Being non-perishable products means I no longer have spoiled fruits and vegetables. In addition to the fruits and vegetables, I frequently use eggs, vegetarian meats, glucose-free products, soups, and other items. I keep dehydrated on hand for several reasons--availability and shelf-life being the priority. Mr. Williams, I could go on and on about my positive experiences. I hope you try another item and have a flavorful outcome.

Williams--I wonder if you had an bad batch? Or something went awry during the cooking process? I normally buy eggs from a local farmer, but since he sometimes runs low due to season or demands from other customers, I decided to try a can of these. I made my first batch this morning, and they were MUCH better than expected. Since it was a test, I made them very plain. Just added warm water, stirred the powder until thoroughly mixed and poured into a pan with olive oil. Added a small amount of ground black pepper. There was a slight powdered milk taste--which makes sense considering the mix contains powdered milk-- but I don't think it would be noticeable at all if you added cheese, veg, meats, etc. or used these in a stir-fry or breakfast burrito. I plan to buy a few more cans to keep in stock. They're not as good as farm fresh, local eggs, but they compare well to other egg products. .

This product is excellent both as an additive to other dishes and alone. We are happy to eat these eggs alone, or mixed half and half with fresh eggs. The added milk gives them a very fluffy, creamy texture. This product makes incredible omelettes too.
